About Me

My name is Jacob Tew, and I’m from a little town you’ve never heard of—Altha, FL. Population: 500. A place with no stoplights, no Starbucks, and practically no opportunity. But somehow, we made it work. Growing up there taught me the value of creativity, resourcefulness, and finding joy in the simple things.

My love for photography started early. I’ll never forget sneaking off with my grandma’s disposable camera, snapping everything from goofy selfies to candid shots of her in her rocking chair. Those photos were far from perfect, but they sparked something in me—a fascination with capturing moments that would otherwise slip away.

Fast forward to high school, where I landed a property management job on the beach. Between managing listings and tidying up vacation rentals, I discovered photo editing. Something about bringing out the beauty in an image ignited a passion I couldn’t ignore. That was the moment I knew: photography wasn’t just a hobby. It was my calling.

Now, I live on the beach with my partner of six years and our little dog, Mr. Tarkin. He’s a rescue who overcame an abusive past and now spends his days enjoying long walks and playing with his best friend, Lilly. Her grandparents constantly beg for more playdates because, let’s be honest, these two are a team for the ages.

I love to travel and make it a point to visit Disney every single year—because, really, who can hate a talking mouse? The furthest I’ve been from home is Arizona, and I absolutely loved every single minute of it. The dry heat was a welcome escape from the blistering moisture patch we call Florida.

This is the life I’ve built, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. From disposable cameras to professional shoots, the journey has been unconventional, but every twist and turn has led me here. And trust me—we’re just getting started.
